I recently got a job at the local mall and I couldn’t help but observe people during the holiday shopping. I know the observation project was months ago, but people are fascinating! I’ve noticed that the men don’t typically ask where things are, and most of the women that ask are very rude. If a man and a woman are shopping together, the woman will typically speak for the man. But in class, some of the people that work in restaurants said that they observed that when a man and a woman couple would come into the restaurant, the man would speak for the woman. Maybe a shopping mall is just a womans territory, whereas a restaurant is a mans territory?
